  • Facebook Blocks and Suspends All Weapon Accessory Ads

Big Tech has been an enemy of the firearms industry for a very long time, as has the news media. It's one of the biggest reasons I wanted to create a community that wasn't dictated by big-tech.

A friend sent this screenshot to me - I was so frustrated.
It was all over the news:

    BuzzFeed

But on Sunday, BuzzFeed News continued to find ads for firearm accessories on the social network, more than 22 hours after Facebook announced its temporary suspension.

I work for a digital marketing, web design and technology company that works in the firearms space. We are getting hammered on social platforms and Google and have begun doing marketing campaigns through alternate platforms. The attack on the firearms industry by big tech is atrocious.

Can you tell me more about this? We definitely need to be finding other platforms!

We are utilizing email marketing campaigns, ad buys on websites and I've been researching other alternatives. It's an uphill battle for sure.

Yes, Andyhunt0806 I'm interested in finding other platforms as well. Also do you have any recommendations for how we could let google and such know we don't need them to protect us from a magazine pouch? Or even guns for that matter...

Unfortunately, Google and other big tech are going to play the helicopter mom nobody wants or needs. The left wing, anti-gun mindset is toxic and big tech is at the helm. We have other ways to market that are proving just as if not more effective but not as widely known but it takes work.

We build websites and then use email marketing and ad buys on websites to push traffic to the clients site. There's other platforms that I'm researching and beginning discussions with as a stage to push products and brand recognition

I will chime in and say this. I’ve been surprised by Microsoft Bing Ads. They haven’t suspended any of our shopping products like gun slings. And they power the ads that show on DuckDuckGo which a lot of people use who don’t want to be tracked.
